Item: Porthgwarra Cove
Description: Porthgwarra Cove, near Porthcurno. This image was commissioned by the local council for Penzance tourist guide in 1950s. Penhaul used a model in this photograph. The hole in the rock was blasted by miners to enable better access to the cove for fishermen. Inshore fishing boats pulled up on the slipway seen through mouth of a cave.
