Item: The first day of the Ash Wednesday storms in Penzance
Description: This appears to be the first day of the Ash Wednesday storms. Take a good look at the road sign and Belisha Beacon facing Morrab Road as they will disappear within hours. The broken railings have sunk onto the beach; the surfaces of the promenade and road have been destroyed. Ominously, a wave breaks over the promenade at the bottom of Cornwall Terrace and the scene is set for flooding at the next high tide.
