IDENFIFICATION
Full Name: coronation mug
Brief Description: ceramic mug commemorating the coronation of Edward VIII, designed and modelled by Dame Laura Knight. The design includes the Royal coat of arms and a small portrait of Edward VIII, with an elephant to the right of the portrait and a knight on horseback to the left. "MAY 1937" is printed in orange at the top and "CORONATION KING EDWARD VIII" is printed in blue at the bottom. On the base is Edward VIII's monogram with "REGISTRATION APPLIED FOR. DESIGNED AND MODELLLED BY DAME LAURA KNIGHT.D.B.E. R.A." printed above it and Laura Knight's signature printed below.
