Identification
Item: Cape Cornwall, Post 1850s
Description: A view of Cape Cornwall Mine, from the foot of Carn Gloose, looking North West. The large building in the centre was probably the original engine house which may have pumped as well as being employed for winding. The top stack, built in the 1850s, created too much draught for the engine so the second stack was built. The mine worked the Cape Cornwall-Lode during the 18th century.
