Description: Area around Battery Square which became St Antony Gardens, Penzance. The photograph was taken looking directly into Sandybank Court. A wall from Batten's Wharf is in the foreground as it meets the sea retaining wall. There are two unidentified people walking, one with a parasol. The old Yacht Inn on Green Street is in the background, as is (from left to right) Pascoe's Court, St Mary's Church, Cornish's Court and St Antony Cottages. The old Yacht Inn was rebuilt in 1936.
