Item: HTPC &Co Ltd lorry at Hayle North Pier.
Description: Thought to be the North Pier at Hayle, with St Elwyn's Church in the background, a Hosken, Trewithiel, Polkinhorn & Co lorry is backed up to a trailer from which men are loading sacks into the lorry. The vehicle is possibly a 1920s Commer or more likely a Leyland GH2, on pneumatic tyres introduced in 1925. The trailer might be a former WW1 tank or heavy machinery transporter.
