Description: SS 'Lyonesse' leaving Penzance Harbour. Launched by Harveys of Hayle for the West Cornwall Steam Company in 1889. 329 gross registered tons. Length 170 ft. Beam 25.1ft. Draught 10.4ft. June 1900 hit a rock while leaving St Mary's. June 1914 assisted the Belgian steamer 'Gothland'. 1919 sold to Cobh, Ireland as a salvage ship. May 1928 returned to Hayle to be broken up.
