Description: Treneere Estate, part of the national scheme for housing improvements, was built in the 1930s as a model estate with large houses and flats, large gardens and near to the town of Penzance. In 2013 the metal window furniture of the houses has been replaced with plastic, the lamp posts are straight and many of the houses have been privatised. This photograph was probably commissioned by the local authority. These houses are just below Humphry Davy School and opposite the Princess May Recreation Ground.
