A space for all

Built in 1865, as the home of the Branwell family. Penlee House is home to many paintings by members of the Newlyn School. It is also home to the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society collection.

School visits

School group visits to Penlee House are FREE, as are teacher pre-visits for planning.  Always book in advance.  We have a range of fantastic workshops to help explore your topic; there is a small charge for these.

Baby Sensory play sessions

Fortnightly free sessions for babies from birth to crawlers. Come and experience the amazing artworks whilst exploring sensory play together in the gallery. Discover More

Little Penlee Explorers sessions

Monhtly on Mondays join us to explore, play and create at Penlee House!  With activities throughout the galleries, these free, drop-in sessions are for under 5s and their grown-ups. Discover more

Work experience

We offer work placements to anyone interested in the museum and gallery sector. Our information pack contains information about our general work placement.
